All eyes on Bindi’s new look

IT took a black-and-white floral dress and a pair of black boots but the world's media has finally cottoned on - Bindi Irwin's not a little girl any more.

The 15-year-old from the Sunshine Coast swapped Australia Zoo for the red carpet of the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts Awards in Sydney on Thursday with mum Terri.

Bindi's dress - a far cry from the usual khaki and jeans - was a hit with some of the world's biggest agencies.

US Weekly, E! Entertainment, ABC News (America) and the UK Daily Mail could not believe the daughter of Steve Irwin was all grown up. "Crocodile Hunter Daughter Bindi Irwin Impresses on the Red Carpet" was one of the headlines on the internet yesterday.

Bindi's film Return To Nim's Island was an early contender for Best Feature Film.
