Alfie Arcuri crowned the winner of The Voice Australia
DESPITE only singing publicly for the first time three years ago, Alfie Arcuri has been crowned The Voice of Australia.
The Sydney architect won tonight's grand final of the reality singing show over fellow Team Delta team mate Adam Ladell.
"I couldn't be prouder for the two of them being here and for Alfie being crowned," Delta Goodrem said.
Arcuri wins a record deal with Universal Music, $100,000 and a new car.
The 27-year-old's winner single Cruel will be available for download tonight and will hit radio tomorrow.
"This whole experience was always more than just singing for me," Arcuri said.
"It was a personal growth experience... Delta has been our rock, our guidance."
Runner-up Ladell, who was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome at the age of 13, said he was already a winner for inspiring others with disabilities and challenging stereotypes around his physical and vocal tics.
Ronan Keating and Jessie J's charges Tash Lochkart and Ellen Reed were eliminated from the final four, guaranteeing Goodrem her first win in five seasons of the adult version of The Voice.
