Three in hospital following Purga crash

UPDATE 2PM: THREE people have been taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment following a crash at Purga this morning.

Two vehicles collided head-on at Ipswich-Boonah Rd about 11.45am.

Three people were assessed for injuries and taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.

An ambulance spokeswoman says none of those transported were suffering any obvious injuries.

A small four-wheel-drive sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.

 

12PM: Police are at the scene of a crash on Ipswich-Boonah Rd at Purga.

There are initial reports of injuries and a fuel leak at the scene.

The crash was reported about 11.40am.
