A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with the arson of two caravans which were destroyed at a Glenvale storage yard.

Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Unit officer-in-charge Paul McCusker said the Toowoomba boy was charged for two separate incidents at Maks Onsite Caravan Repairs on Alderley St.

Fire crews were called to the yard on Saturday night to find two caravans well alight.

The vans had been awaiting repair.

Detective Senior Sergeant McCusker said the boy was charged with two counts of arson in relation to the fire.

He was also charged with 10 counts of break and enter in relation to breaking into caravans in the same yard on July 27.

Two counts of wilful damage were also laid against the boy.

"This investigation was progressed as a result of information from the public," Det. Snr Sgt McCusker said.

The boy is due to front Toowoomba Children's Court tomorrow.
