Roosters lock Boyd Cordner escapes a suspension

ROOSTERS lock Boyd Cordner was a relieved man to escape a suspension for striking at the judiciary this week, but standing in his way tomorrow night will be an in-form Warriors pack at Allianz Stadium.

"It's like the Warriors of old," Cordner said of his opponents, who have recaptured the expansive play they are known for, during their winning run over the past three rounds.

"Their middle has been playing real good the last few weeks, with (Ben) Matulino ...Russell Packer."

Prop Packer missed last round with a sternum injury but is due back tomorrow, while fullback Kevin Locke (flexor) is in doubt.
