Reed on course for PGA Tour record
AMERICAN Patrick Reed was on course to set a new 72-hole record on the PGA Tour after firing a third consecutive round of 63 in the Humana Challenge (formerly the Bob Hope Classic), at La Quinta, California.
That took him to 27-under (a new 54-hole record) and within sight of the record of 33-under set in the same tournament by Steve Stricker in 2009.
Reed led by seven shots from countryman Charley Hoffman and Brendon Todd.
