Jason Day hoping to play catch-up in Boston

QUEENSLANDER Jason Day was hoping to play catch-up in the third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston overnight.

Day was eight-under and in a share of ninth, five shots behind the leader, Sergio Garcia.

The Spaniard eagled the par-five 18th in his second round to take a one-shot lead over American Roberto Castro and Sweden's Henrik Stenson.
