Czech Republic ruins Argentina in Davis Cup

THE Czech Republic will play in its third Davis Cup final in five years after taking an unbeatable 3-0 lead over Argentina in their semi-final in Prague.

The defending champions will take on the winner of the tie between Canada and Serbia, with the Canadians ahead 2-1 after winning a marathon doubles rubber.

In the eight world group qualifying ties, just Spain and Switzerland were certain to go through after leading 3-0 in their clashes, while Australia led Poland 2-1 in Warsaw ahead of the reverse singles overnight after the Poles won a five-setter against Chris Guccione and Nick Kyrgios.
