Al Qaeda’s Lebanon leader has reportedly died

THE head of Al Qaeda's Lebanon operations has reportedly died in hospital in Beirut.

Majid al-Madij, the terrorist group's Lebanon commander, was recently arrested by Lebanese authorities, BBC reported on Sunday.

The Saudi head of the Abdullah Azzam Bridges Brigade reportedly died in hospital under police guard, with media reports attributing his death to kidney failure.

He was reportedly a key figure behind a bomb attack on Iran's Beirut embassy that killed 23 people in November last year.
