26-year-old stabbed by man having argument in the street
POLICE have charged a 44-year-old man following an incident that occurred in Labrador this morning.
Around 4am, it will be alleged that a man and woman were arguing in the street on Brett Avenue when a 26-year-old man approached.
The man who was arguing with the woman has then allegedly stabbed the 26-year-old.
The 26-year-old man sustained a non-life-threatening stab wound to his stomach, and was transported to the Gold Coast Hospital for treatment.
A 44-year-old Labrador man has been charged with one count each of wounding in a public place while adversely affected by intoxicating substance and possession of a knife in a public place.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, July 11.
