150 new places to park at Dinmore

IPSWICH commuters will have access to 150 new car parking spaces at Dinmore train station with the opening of the final stage of the $3 million Dinmore park and ride extension this week.

Member for Bundamba Jo-Ann Miller said Dinmore train station park and ride had nearly doubled in size, with an extra 230 car parks opening since July 2010, adding to the 254 previously available.

“This upgrade also includes safety features such as security fencing, bright lighting and 24-hour security camera surveillance,” Mrs Miller said.

“Commuters should feel safe and secure when parking their cars due to the safety features included.

“Stage one, consisting of 80 new car parks, was opened in July 2010.

“The second and final stage consists of 150 car parks and the new slip lane access from Brisbane Road.

“The slip lane improves access for customers approaching from several surrounding suburbs, as it sits at the intersection of Brisbane Road, the Cunningham Highway and the Ipswich Motorway.”
