1 Spring Festival

JOIN the final day of family fun this year's Laidley Spring Festival.

The three-day-event is scheduled to wrap up with a Show 'n' Shine event at the QN Hotel from 10am - 2pm.

Other attractions on the day include, live entertainment, a grand parade, stalls, an art exhibition, and plenty more.

2 School fete

  • St Francis Xavier School, Goodna

ST Francis Xavier School is holding a Multicultural Spring Fair with rides, prizes, games, stalls and live multicultural entertainment.

Entry is free and visitors can purchase a $30 pass which will allow them to enjoy the rides all day including the dominator, the giants slide and the mega playhouse castle.

The school is located at 6 Church St, Goodna.

3 Golf Day

  • Karana Downs Golf Club, Karana Downs

MOUNT Crosby P&C Association is calling for local golfing enthusiasts to support their massive building project by participating in a four-person ambrose tournament.

The golf day costs $36 per person and includes a barbecue burger in the price.

Teams of four can be pre-arranged or made up on the day to suit casual players.

There will be a number of prizes and raffles on the day.

4 Heritage Open Day

THE Cooneana Heritage Centre is holding an Open Day at the New Chum venue for families to enjoy.

Visitors will be able to take a family stroll about the grounds, take pat in activities, peruse displays and enjoy plenty of food.

There will also be a variety of stalls offering army memorabilia, jewellery, crafts and community information.

5 School Country Fair

IT'S springtime again in the valley which means the return of the Glamorgan Vale State School Country Fair.

This year's celebrations will feature kid's rides, old fashioned games like sack races and ice cream eating competitions and even disco karaoke in the evening.

There will be a variety of stalls with food and drinks and show bags will also be available.

To get to Glamorgan Vale, just turn off the Warrego at the Esk turn-off and follow the Brisbane Valley Highway. After about 10km turn left and look for the signs.

6 Breast Feeding Celebration

  • Queens Park parklands, Ipswich

THE Ipswich Group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association will celebrate 40 years of supporting Ipswich mothers with a family get together for current and past members and their families.

All supporters of ABA Ipswich are also welcome to attend. Guests are asked to bring a plate of food to share.

BIKE diaries: Artworks by Tim Acutt is an observation of the world from two wheels.

The free exhibition features mixed media paintings inspired by real-life scenes the artist encountered during bicycle rides throughout Ipswich and Rosewood.

10 Aircraft Display

  • RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre

AVIATION enthusiasts have the opportunity to walk around a unique display of historic military aircraft when the RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre holds its free Open Day.

The event will showcase F-111 jets painted in different colour schemes, as well as the Korean War-vintage Sabre, Vietnam-era aircraft and much more.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
