The 10 people who owe $4.2million to debt collectors SPER

TEN Queensland fine and toll defaulters collectively owe the state's debt collection agency millions of dollars.

Recently released figures show Queenslanders owe the State Penalties Enforcement Registry nearly $1.2 billion, with more than $4.2 million of that owed by just 10 debtors.

Unpaid speeding fines and punishments for driving offences are among the list of debt types owed by the top 10 SPER debtors.

One of them has an eye watering debt of $346,425 for unpaid tolls while another owes more than $580,000 for "environmental damage".
