FIVE members of a young family were injured in a two-vehicle crash at a Raceview intersection yesterday morning.

Several people were taken to hospital after a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Edwards and Ripley Rd in Raceview.

FIVE members of a young family were injured in a two-vehicle crash at a Raceview intersection yesterday morning.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Edwards St and Ripley Rd at about 9.45am.

The family's Holden Rodeo dual cab was travelling along Ripley Rd to Raceview St when it collided with a Holden Commodore sedan travelling along Edwards St.

The dual cab rolled and came to rest on a Raceview St property.

Three children aged from seven to 12-years-old, their mother and father were taken from the dual cab and hospitalised.

Residents including Amanda Fear said the crash proved the intersection needed "traffic lights or something to make it safer".

The occupants of the sedan walked away from the crash.
