SEEING visions of faces, bodily forms and even Jesus or the Virgin Mary in nature is not unusual.

In the past 12 months we have given you a photo of a man's face in a cloud from former Northern Star editor Russell Eldridge and the face of Jesus seen by Louise van Dartel of Alstonville in a crumpled barbecue cover.

Worldwide in recent years, people have seen tears of oil dripping down the face of a painting of the Virgin Mary (France) and a crying statue of the Virgin (Medford, Massachusetts).

Yesterday The Northern Star was contacted by Jenny Sherwin of Coraki abuzz with excitement because she saw a naked lady in a tree.

Ms Sherwin first saw the shadowy form from her bed in a caravan next to a Crown land reserve - and it freaked her out, because she thought at first it was a hanging man.

But on closer inspection, she made out the form she described to us as a naked lady.

Some can see it, some can't.

"Can't you see how she looks like she's got a pageboy hairstyle, she's got shadows for eyes and she's wearing a necklace?" Ms Sherwin enthused.

"Look, there are her boobs, and you can see one buttock and a leg that goes right down like a ... like a limb - and she's really in proportion!"

Ms Sherwin said she had even shown Aboriginal media identity Rhoda Roberts a picture she took on her phone in case Ms Roberts saw something culturally significant in this apparition on a piece of land Ms Sherwin believes to be slated for a native title claim.

She told The Northern Star that Ms Roberts had said, cryptically: "Looks like they're showing themselves to white people now."

She had also got some young teenage boys to come and have a look, and once they got past their giggles at Ms Sherwin pointing out the apparition's private parts, one of them said: "Nature is so amazing".

"I'm so excited!" Ms Sherwin said.

"I feel like I've got company here and I'm really privileged."
