A TEENAGER has faced court for the second time in three months, for offences committed four days after he was last dealt with.
Joshua Aaron Bradley, 17, stole a trolley full of goods from Target Riverlink on November 15 - four days after he was fined $750 for two counts of burglary.
Ipswich Magistrates Court this week heard Bradley was with friends at the store at 12.10pm.
The group split up, with the girls filling the trolley with $600 worth of toys and homewares, before meeting up soon after.
Bradley then wheeled the trolley out to the car park before the group was stopped.
The court heard Bradley was found to be carrying a knife at Redcliffe on October 22.
Bradley and a friend saw police, so turned around and walked away quickly, prompting officers to perform a consensual search.
They located a knife with a 12cm open blade and brown wooden handle in his pocket.
Bradley said he carried the knife for safety.
He pleaded guilty to one count each of stealing and possessing a knife in a public place.
He was ordered to perform 80 hours of community service.
Magistrate Donna MacCallum said it was disappointing Bradley had offended only four days after being sentenced by Magistrate Michael Quinn for other dishonesty offences.
The court was told Bradley had since stopped mixing with the group of people he was offending with and he was looking for work as a labourer.
On November 15, the QT reported Bradley smashed his way into Rosewood State High School on October 27 by throwing a rock through the window.
He stole two laptop computers.
He also stole two laptops and a camera from the primary school at Rosewood on October 25.
Police identified Bradley through his fingerprints and later located the stolen items in Bradley's backpack.
