Just Trailers manager Peter Spencer is in charge of the company’s new Tivoli operations.
THERE are many things that we take for granted - among those is the familiar trailer.
Just Trailers is a locally based company that makes and distributes a wide range of trailers, from the well-known box trailer through to more specific types of units.
Just Trailers has recently arrived in Ipswich to expand its profile in the region.
Owners Marie Banks and Bob Sharples took over the business in October 2007, after it was established in 1994.
"Marie had worked for the company for a number of years and she had the first option when the owner wanted to retire and sell," Mr Sharples said.
"We talked and decided to take on the business."
The business is well known in the two current locations at the head office and factory at Rocklea and the Beenleigh outlets.
"We build our trailers on site at Rocklea and offer one of the largest ranges of trailers in Queensland," Mr Sharples said.
Just Trailers has distributors around Queensland and in northern New South Wales.
The company makes box, camper, tool box, pantech, car and motorbike trailers plus larger custom designs for industry.
"We service industry, commerce, mining, rural, government and small business as well as domestic customers," Mr Sharples said.
"The box trailers are a one piece, full-length drawbar/chassis and this design applies to most single-axle box trailers."
Innovation is a hallmark of the business and it is said that if you can imagine it, then Just Trailers can build it.
Just Trailers is a busy enterprise and for Mr Sharples it is almost second nature after being in management roles since he was 18, including wholesale, retail, manufacturing and technical industries.
"We are both hands-on directors. If something needs to be done, then we will do it," he said.
Ms Banks brings significant expertise in administration, staff management and customer service, which is an important facet of the operation.
She is a cornerstone to the day-to-day operation and success of the business.
Mr Sharples said the range of products available through Tivoli would appeal to mums and dads, industry, government and even the rural sector.
"It is a rapidly expanding area and is a good place for us to grow and develop as well," he said.
"We only opened on December 1 so it's early days. We really only got stock in, the signs up and hardly even got settled and we had sales and orders coming in."
Peter Spencer is the Ipswich manager and brings a wealth of experience, having been a long-time staff member. He was previously manager at the Beenleigh branch for four years.
Just Trailers is located in the Sapar Centre, unit 2, 222 Mount Crosby Road, Tivoli.
The business is openfrom 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to noon Saturday.
The website is comprehensive in its coverage of products and you can check it out at www.justtrailers.com.au or phone 3202 3339.
