The Jet Stunt Extreme show at Sea World.
SEA World has been awarded the prestigious Major Tourist Attraction Award at the Queensland Tourism Awards.
Originally opened in 1971 to showcase the Water Ski Spectacular, Sea World has since grown to become Australia's premier marine park.
Sea World general manager, Jeff Hughes said that he was thrilled to receive the Major Tourist Attraction Award for Sea World.
"Since opening its doors in 1971, Sea World has entertained millions of people from all over the world, with its celebration of marine life through education, entertainment and conservation and we are honored to receive the highest recognition from Tourism Queensland.
"Offering unique experiences such as Sea World increases the appeal of the Gold Coast to the domestic and international markets.
"Village Roadshow Theme Parks is dedicated to the growth of tourism in Queensland and reinforcing the region's position as the number one holiday destination in Australia.
"To further support this growth, we have recently announced details of the world's first SpongeBob SquarePants parade, which will launch at Sea World this Christmas. The multimillion dollar parade will be a large-scale attraction for fans of all ages and has been developed exclusively for Sea World by the creative team behind SpongeBob SquarePants," he said.
Queenslanders can now experience all of this award winning fun with the new Locals* Summer Pass. The new pass provides unlimited entry into Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet'n'Wild until 29 February 2012, as well as one entry into Movie World's stunning White Christmas family event.
Plus, as a launch special Queensland locals can buy three passes and get one free with the Summer Pass Value Pack. The Summer Pass Value Pack offer will end on November 15 2011 and White Christmas bookings are essential and numbers are limited.
