IF YOU have been in a bridal party you will know the challenges of organising the buck's night for the boys or the girls getting a hen's night together.

Traditionally girls have been a little more imaginative, but it seems that many go for a wild night out on the town that is not welcomed by all participants.

This is where a novel and interesting concept developed by director Miranda Bodman can be useful.

It is known as Hens' Heaven, branded as the pamper party people. The idea was birthed out of the personal experience of Ms Bodman.

“I had been bridesmaid five times and I organised the hen's parties. It was a wild night out and there was no alternative from a focus on alcohol, strippers at home or an expensive night on the town,” she said.

Ms Bodman has recognised that people are getting married older now, and often the bride wants her mother and grandmother as well as some younger people invited, but the current options do not include them.

“It is more about relaxing and I am a remedial massage therapist, so the two have come together in the idea of Hens' Heaven,” she said.

Ms Bodman is offering a luxurious hen's day or night party that is all about facials, relaxing massages, pedicures and all done in the comfort of a home.

“This, along with some great food and drinks, makes for a fun night but it can be both.

“For those who still want to have a night on the town, they can be relaxed, pampered and really feel great and ready to go out.

“The choice is up to the client.” To date, clients are loving it and the business is growing.

As a fully mobile service, organisation is simple.

“Once we have a contact to discuss a date we will reserve it.

“Clients can look at our website to consider the packages that are available. We go from a base package right through to the ultimate,” Ms Bodman said.

“Things are interchangeable. We finalise two weeks prior to the event and we tailor for each guest.”

The idea was formed about two years ago but the business has been operating for 18 months.

Hens' Heaven provides everything from massage tables, beauty products and candles right down to the relaxing music.

“I have gathered a professionally trained team of massage and beauty therapists,” Ms Bodman said.

The service is geared to cater for females aged eight to 88.

Catering is currently done by the clients, but Ms Bodman said that in the near future Hens' Heaven would offer catering as part of the package.

“We are also organising some hotels and we are working with the Metro International Hotel in Ipswich to offer a combined package of accommodation and the party.”

In addition to hen's nights, they also provide for birthdays, baby showers and staff appreciation days.

Hens' Heaven also travels to Brisbane, Fernvale, Minden and Rosewood.
