THE Ipswich Art Gallery re-opened yesterday after extensive renovations.
Arts, Community and Cultural Services committee chairman Charlie Pisasale said a new floor had been laid in the main hall and stage area of the gallery.
“As a result we will recommence operations with two great exhibitions, including Mirror by renowned children’s book author and illustrator Jeannie Baker in the children’s gallery,” Cr Pisasale said.
Cr Pisasale said the other exhibition gallery currently contained an Australian War Memorial Travelling Exhibition, Icon & Archive: photography and the World Wars.
He said the exhibition would be on display to the public until August 28.
