A MAJOR traffic operation on the Warrego Highway near Gatton nabbed two drink drivers yesterday while another two tested positive for drugs.
Police breath tested 1429 drivers during the operation and performed 61 drug tests.
Of the two positive drug tests, one driver tested positive for cannabis and another positive for methamphetamine.
Speed cameras used in the string caught 37 motorists exceeding the speed limit with the highest recorded speed 151kmh.
The operation also caught six unlicensed drivers.
Toowoomba Police Traffic Branch Sergeant Brendan Harding said he was disappointed they caught a few drivers under the influence but the majority of motorists were well-behaved.
