LUDELLE Milne is used to her son Aaron travelling far from home but now she is struggling to believe that this time he isn’t coming back.
Aaron Milne was less than a kilometre away from his family home in Laidley Heights when he lost control of his Suzuki car.
Aaron was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled several times along Burgess Road about 7.15pm on Tuesday.
Despite desperate attempts by nearby residents to resuscitate Aaron, little could be done to save him.
Aaron is the second person to die in the Ipswich region in the past five days after 18-year-old Brayden Playford, of Karrabin, died on Friday morning after his motorcycle collided with a turning truck.
Mr and Mrs Milne yesterday lovingly remembered their son who they said was best described as “adventurous”.
“He loved to travel and had just returned from a six-week trip to the Ukraine where he taught English,” Mrs Milne said.
“He also visited Egypt, Turkey and England and has been all through Europe.”
Mr Milne said their son, the youngest of three boys, always brought back gifts for the family.
Mr Milne said his son “loved to have a good time” and tried his hand at “a few different jobs”.
Aaron enjoyed stints as an electrician in Cooktown, traffic control in Townsville and a jackeroo in North Queensland.
“He was a jack of all trades and always helped around the house,” Mrs Milne said.
Police are still investigating the cause of Tuesday’s night crash but said speed, alcohol and failing to wear a seatbelt could have been contributing factors.
