REGIONAL cricketers are invited to join in a City v Country pre-season trial to help choose representative sides for the new season.
A day-night match will be played at Limestone Park on September 25, under a quarters format (two periods of 20 overs per team).
Brothers stalwart David Richardson will captain the City side with Strollers leader Craig Cumming chosen to guide the country team.
Players from Marburg, Laidley, Strollers and Raiders are eligible for country selection.
The city team will come from Northsiders, Brothers, Centrals and Flinders sides.
The Saturday game will be the last weekend before Ipswich first division fixtures start.
The match will help selectors choose Ipswich representative sides for the Webb Shield and Plunkett Cup.
