AUSTRALIA’S Wildest Cruisin' Car Show – the Carline Mufflers Powercruise #25 – returns to Queensland Raceway from today.

Entrants and spectators will experience a feast of motorsport when drivers cruise, race, drift and skid their way around the Willowbank track over the next four days.

With over $100 million worth of Queensland’s best street and drag cars hitting the track, organisers said this weekend will be the biggest Powercruise event held.

“As the Powercruise event grows more people are catching the bug and taking full advantage of the only event where you can drive your performance street car in the way it was meant to be driven alongside the hottest street cars in Queensland,” Gareth Ball said.

This weekend’s event is open to all makes, models and types of vehicles.

This includes street machines, hot rods, drifters, drag racers, imports and late model cars.

Entrants can literally drive off the street and onto the 3.12km track to blow out the cobwebs in a safe and controlled environment.

Unlike other motorsport events, spectators of Powercruise are encouraged to “cruise the race track” with entrants in the speed limited cruise sessions provided they are 13 years or older.

For a gold coin donation to charity, Powercruise punters will be able experience the fun first hand instead of watching from the side of the track.

Queensland drivers will also be able to put their machinery up against each other in various competition driving events, including burnouts, drifting, off street racing and the powerskids.

With $13,600 of prizemoney on offer, entrants can make a name for themselves by taking home the silverware in each of the events.

Team Bray will be back at Powercruise 25 with Victor and Ben cruising the track. They will be joined by Robert Zahabi in Kam Motor Trimming’s Kamaro. The 1969 RS SS Camaro, running on Methanol, puts out about 900+ rear wheel horse power.
