A BOY hit by a car at Walloon this week is in an induced coma after almost losing his fight in hospital.
The 12-year-old boy was being attacked by a magpie when he accidentally ran out in front of a four-wheel-drive ute on Queen Street, just after 3pm Monday.
After showing signs of improvement he was moved out of intensive care earlier this week, but suffered from complications and had to be returned to the unit.
He is suffering serious head injuries and a broken pelvis.
