A TEENAGER has faced court after attempting to steal clothes so she would have something to wear at the Ipswich Show.
Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Ruth Elsie Clair Watterson, 17, was seen to put jeans in a friend's bag at an Indooroopilly shop.
But Watterson and her friends abandoned their efforts after realising staff were watching.
They were later found at the train station and told police they wanted something new to wear to the Ipswich Show.
Watterson pleaded guilty to stealing and was given a $200 good behaviour bond for one year.
No conviction was recorded.
