QUEENSLAND has yet to record a road fatality this Easter, but 52 people have been injured, with more traffic incidents compared to the same period last year.
Up until midnight on Good Friday, there were 43 incidents - five more than 2009, according to police statistics, released on Saturday.
The accidents have resulted in 52 people being injured, compared to 49 last year.
Police have so far conducted 71 roadside drug tests, half the total for the same period last year, yet the same number of people (three) have tested positive to drug driving.
Fixed speed cameras have captured 203 offences, 70 less than last year, and mobile speed cameras have snapped 2873 motorists exceeding the limit compared to 3027 in 2009, the police figures said.
However, there is little change in drink-driving offences.
So far, 229 people have been caught over the limit, which is comparable to the 236 people charged during the first two days of the Easter break last year.
