STUNNING strength has made Pantera one of the world’s leading pole dancers.

The former Seattle stripper won the Best Pole Tricks Award at last year’s World Pole Sport and Fitness Championships in Jamaica and spends eight months a year travelling overseas.

She visited Ipswich this week to host classes at Pole Fitness Australia and will take on the UK, Greece and Italy later this year.

“I don’t like to say exactly where and when I (got into the industry) because then you start dating me,” Pantera said.

Brandishing a toned, tattooed body that is in many ways a work of art within a work of art, Pantera refers to herself as an “international pole dance instructor and vertical fitness teacher”.

“My tattoos are part of who I am. I started about 10 years ago and I always use the same guy in Seattle. I’m moving to Dallas soon so I don’t know what I’m going to do, but I’m saving my back for the grand finale,” she said

“This is me, this is what I do and I totally love it. I’ve instructed in Japan, all over the UK, Europe, Australia and America.

“The pole dancing market is growing all over the world. Women seem to be lacking a lot of positive self images, and I can teach them things like body advancement and body alignment.”

Pantera said pole fitness was all about building bodies and building confidence.

“When I’m at home and I can train I go to the gym six days a week for about two hours a day,” she said.

“It’s heavy weights and cardio and I walk my dog and do things like that.

“My speciality is strength and teaching people to use the pole to gain strength. There’s a big market for that side of things and what I offer is generally accepted everywhere I go.

“The people who benefit the most are the ones who get really good at it, you can see the change in their body and their attitude.”
