Boy, 12, dies after school stabbing

A 12-YEAR-OLD student is in a critical condition after a 13-year-old allegedly stabbed him in the chest at a Catholic school in Brisbane.

A 12-YEAR-OLD student stabbed at a Brisbane school has died.

A 13-year-old boy, who attends the same school, is helping police with inquiries.

He has received hospital treatment for minor injuries.

Police remain at St Patrick's College at Shorncliffe, in bayside Brisbane, where the incident happened about 8.15am (AEST) on Monday.

St Patrick's College said it was unable to comment on the incident but it's understood a letter is being drafted to send home with students.
