MEMBER for Ipswich and Transport Minister Rachel Nolan has announced that $85,875 in funding has been approved for organisations providing emergency relief.
The following organisations will receive funding to provide cash, food vouchers, food parcels and third party payments to assist families and individuals experiencing financial crisis.
Booval Community Services will receive $12,874, the Salvation Army Property Trust (Ipswich) will receive $29,851 and St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland (Ipswich and North West Regional Councils) will share about $33,000.
“These charitable groups provide an essential service to the Ipswich community and should be commended on their hard work and dedication,” Ms Nolan said.
Referrals will also be provided to community services that can provide longer term support for families and individuals in need.
