GLOBAL software company Dhanush InfoTech has chosen greater Springfield as the new home for its Asia Pacific headquarters.
The move represents a $1.5 million investment for the India-based company and will create up to 200 jobs in the western corridor.
Springfield Land Corporation Chairman Maha Sinnathamby said the city was fast establishing itself as the high-tech hub of south-east Queensland.
“This is a proud day for greater Springfield and I’m pleased Dhanush InfoTech has recognised the benefits of running a global business from our city,” Mr Sinnathamby said.
Chief executive of Dhanush InfoTech DSN Murthy travelled from India for the official opening.
Six staff are currently employed at Dhanush InfoTech, with plans to expand over the next five years.
“We’re also investigating the possibility of partnering with local education providers to help provide a job-ready IT workforce for the western corridor. We’re excited by the opportunity to train and hire our own students to support the delivery of IT solutions in the Asia Pacific region,” Mr Murthy said.
