A SECOND Queensland prison has quarantined inmates after an outbreak of swine flu.
Five prisoners at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, west of Cairns, on Friday tested positive for H1N1 virus.
Another two inmates are suspected to have the virus and have been isolated from other prisoners.
On Tuesday, three prisoners and a staff member from Capricornia Correctional Centre near Rockhampton tested positive to swine flu and quarantine arrangements were put in place.
Lotus Glen has cancelled all visitors and restricted the visits of external providers such as chaplains and other jail staff.
All prison transfers, apart from court escorts and discharges, have been cancelled.
