QUEENSLAND motorists are being cheated at the petrol pump, the Transport Workers Union (TWU) says.
The union said it had received reports of truck drivers and motorists being ripped off following the scrapping of Queensland's fuel subsidy on Wednesday.
"Some truck drivers have paid 132.4 cents a litre while others 112.9 cents a litre," TWU Queensland branch secretary Hughie Williams said.
"There shouldn't be such extreme price variations in our fuel.
"They should be paying the same price as Sydney and Melbourne residents - 120 cents a litre."
Mr Williams said the union was compiling a database of "Queensland fuel cheats" to pass on to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The ACCC and Queensland's Office of Fair Trading are also doing their own checks of petrol prices.
