WORKPLACE health and safety authorities are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman in a gymnastics training accident in north Queensland.
It is understood the woman hit her head after a falling from a tumble track in Townsville last Thursday.
She was admitted to Townsville General Hospital in a critical condition and died on Friday.
A Workplace Health and Safety Queensland spokeswoman says an investigation into the incident is underway.
Comment is being sought from Gymnastics Queensland.
