Modelling stint just bliss-ful | Offbeat

DRAPED in an Australian flag and little more than a smile, Flinders View resident Bliss Cooke revelled in her role as B105's Miss January.

The 21-year-old was entered in the radio station's Suburban Centrefolds calendar competition “for the fun of it” and ended up winning a spot among the final 12 entrants.

While she said she was initially nervous at the thought of the semi-nude photo shoot, she was soon put at ease.

“It was a bit daunting because it was a new experience for me,” Ms Cooke said.

“Overall it was fun and exciting and I got to meet the B105 people.”

Normally at home in the world of real estate, Ms Cooke said it had been fun playing the model role during the shoot.

“The majority of us hadn't done modelling and they really looked after us,” she said.

Partner Cameron Grayson was on hand for moral support and said he had been fielding requests from his mates for a copy.

“They had the idea, being Australia Day in January, to get her with the flag,” he said.

“So they gave her the flag to drape over herself and she thought it was pretty cool.”

Ms Cooke said since the calendar had come out, reaction from family and friends had been positive.

“Everyone was just really proud of me,” she said.

“I had heaps of friends who didn't know about it 'til they saw the calendar.”
