X Factor hopeful stays in
TEEN heartthrob Adil Memon, Ipswich's only remaining The X Factor contender, has made it through to the show's Top 24.
Next week Adil will progress to the "home visits" level of the show, when he will be mentored by either Alicia Keys, Usher, Ke$ha or One Direction.
He was the second-last person selected for the next round of the competition, and the announcement was made on last night's episode.
The teenage lifeguard battled a lost voice to deliver a superb rendition of Don Henley's Boys of Summer in front of a 1000-strong studio audience.
He received a huge response from the show's celebrity judges, including Guy Sebastian and Ronan Keating.
"You should lose your voice more often," Keating said.
