Woman injured, dog dies in Hatton Vale crash

A WOMAN was trapped in her car and a dog died after a serious traffic accident in Hatton Vale on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to Hannant Rd in Kensington Grove at 10.10am after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

A woman was treated for serious injuries and was transported to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

The dog died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

The drivers of both vehicles were residents of Kensington Grove.

Debris from the accident covered the road and both vehicles were extensively damaged.

Hannant Rd remained closed for an hour.

Traffic was diverted around the scene and through neighbouring properties.

Police are yet to determine the cause of the accident and are investigating.
