Charge over alleged stabbing

A MAN was stabbed in the arm in an apparent domestic disturbance at a house in Ipswich yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Riverview about 12.30pm, where they found a man with a 12cm wound to one of his forearms.

Police said he had walked a short distance from a house on Brisbane Rd, where the alleged stabbing occurred.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, however his injuries were not described as life-threatening.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch attended the Brisbane Rd house and a 40-year-old woman was taken into custody for questioning.

She was charged with one count of unlawful wounding later in the afternoon.

Police will allege that a knife had been used in the attack on the man.

Investigations were continuing into the incident.
