Water outage at Goodna, Redbank Plains and surrounds

A WATER outage is currently affecting residents of Goodna, Collingwood Park, Redbank Plains and Bellbird Park.

Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU) has apologised for the outage, and a spokesperson said crews are working to isolate the burst.

The crews are endeavouring to return water supply to customers as soon as possible, the spokesperson said.

"Initially, water pressure may be lower than normal," they advised.

Residents affected by the outage can obtain bottled water from stations at the high point of Eagle St, Collingwood Park and at the corner of Stuart St and Eric St, Goodna.

QUU confirmed the burst main that caused the outage was the same main that burst last weekend.

"As it is a very rare event that two bursts occur in such close proximity, a full investigation into the condition of the water main will be undertaken urgently," the QUU spokesperson said.
