Fire crews close Warrego Hwy

BOTH sides of the Warrego Highway are now open and the fire is under control.

POLICE have closed the Warrego Highway in both directions at Minden as firefighters battle a serious blaze.

A large grassfire started near Mountain View Drive early this afternoon and is threatening homes.

Motorists should avoid the Warrego Highway between Ipswich and Laidley if possible.
