Vengabus timewarp returning at speed
OH NO, don't look now, but I believe the Vengabus is approaching at speed.
Here I was thinking this '90s Europop fad had faded into a deep, dark hole of obscurity - but I was dead wrong.
Turns out the group responsible for such genius as The Vengabus is Coming, and, We Like to Party, had a comeback song in 2010 - the imaginatively titled Rocket to Uranus (subtle double entendre?).
They also toured Australia last year, attracting a combined total of 10,000 fans over nine sold-out shows.
For those who were too busy or too young during the '90s to remember who the Vengaboys were, my best guess would be to describe them as a sort of drug-crazed love-child of The Wiggles and The Village People - a singalong group for adults with the mentality of children due to certain chemical interference.
Anyway, if that's your sort of thing, I guess it's time to get on board the next bus to the Hi-Fi in West End.
