JAMIE Whincup proved he was the best driver in Australia this year by winning Bathurst and the V8 Supercars Championship.

Now he can match his talents against the best from across the globe in the Race of Champions to be held in Bangkok on December 16.

The who's who of motor sport will take part, including F1 champion Sebastian Vettel, Moto GP winner Jorge Lorenzo, Indycar series winner Ryan Hunter-Reay and defending ROC champion and rally star Sebastien Ogier.

All drivers will compete in similar high performance cars, such as the Audi R8 LMS, Toyota GT86 and Galardo Super Trofeo.
