Man dies, another injured, after dirtbike runs into creek
A MAN who died and another left critically injured after their dirtbike ran into a creek were believed to have been semi-submerged in the water for hours before being discovered.
A registered nurse enroute to work discovered the accident scene on Henry Rd at Goomboorian about 7.30am on Saturday.
She provided immediate first-aid to the man as paramedics and the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter were flown to the scene.
The helicopter's flight doctor and flight paramedic took over medical treatment of the man who had suffered multiple trauma injuries.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition.
The other man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
