Two men with knife demand cash at Springfield servo

POLICE are investigating an early morning armed robbery at a Springfield service station.

Two men, one with a knife, demanded cash from an employee at the United Fuels station at Woodcrest Way about 6.48am Tuesday.

They left with an undisclosed sum of cash and fled in a stolen dark green Holden Commodore, headed towards the Orion Shopping Centre on Springfield Parkway.

There are no reports of injuries.

Both men are described as being in their mid 20s.

Police are obtaining further information from witnesses.
