Two to appear for Matilda heist

IPSWICH detectives have charged two men over the attempted armed robbery of a service station at Willowbank.

The men were pulled over late Tuesday afternoon, allegedly driving the same white Holden Statesman that was used in the botched heist at the Matilda service station early Monday.

Police charged the men with attempted armed robbery.

Both will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
