Traffic at a crawl on highway to Sunshine Coast
MOTORISTS making a move to the Sunshine Coast today were hit by some lengthy delays on the Bruce Hwy.
The highway from Murrumba Downs to Caboolture is heavily congested, according to 13 19 40 Traffic and Travel Information.
Traffic is said to be travelling no faster than 30km/h at some parts.
Motorists are urged to show patience.
Jay Lane of the Australian Traffic Network told Brisbanetimes.com.au that the traffic problems were not caused by crashes.
''It's just that everyone seems to be heading to the coast,'' he said.
"We're seeing extreme congestion."
