Chinchilla to feel the Heat next month

CHINCHILLA will get to see some of Queensland cricket's most exciting players when the Brisbane Heat visit the town next month.

The Heat Big Bash League players Peter Forrest and Alister McDermott, along with coach Darren Lehmann will hit Chinchilla on November 15.

They will attend a charity fundraising dinner and also deliver some fun cricket coaching tips at Chinchilla Recreation Reserve from 4.30pm.

Lehmann, who played 27 Test matches and 117 one-day internationals, is looking forward to something different on the trip.

"We've all had plenty of cricket on our plate to date, so to get out of our usual routine, head to the country and do some work with the kids and have a night out with the locals will be very welcome I reckon,'' he said. "I'm sure we'll have a good time in Chinchilla."

Tickets for the dinner are available at
