Tiger gaining on Snead in all-time best race

TIGER Woods moved to within seven victories of Sam Snead on the all-time US PGA list after winning the US$ 6.1 million Farmers Insurance Open at the Torrey Pines course in La Jolla, California, for the seventh time.

Woods fired a final round even-par 72 to finish at 14-under, four shots ahead of Brandt Snedeker and Josh Teater.

Aaron Baddeley was the best placed Aussie, finishing in a tie for sixth at 8-under.
