Tennis duo form winning team
JAKE Burns (left) and Lachlan Stephan recently won the J1 Ipswich Tennis finals for the winter fixtures.
Lachlan also received the Niebling Trophy for highest scoring player throughout the season.
The boys play for TFP Academy at Alder courts at Leichhardt and are coached by Leon Glinster.
Both boys are aged 15. They have only been playing together for a season as their coach thought they'd play well together based on their training sessions.
Given their results, they are going to continue for the summer season in doubles/singles fixtures.
Both boys have been playing since 10 years of age.
Jake and Lachlan said they like playing on the Alder clay surface.
