Teen allegedly hit female officer

A GOODNA teenager has been charged over an alleged assault of a female police officer in the Fortitude Valley early this morning.

Police were speaking to the 17-year-old in relation to a public nuisance offence on Albert St when he allegedly punched a female Sergeant in the face.

It will be further alleged that he has then run from police and was apprehended a short time later.

He has been charged with one count of serious assault police and one count of obstruct police.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 21.
